San Sebastian - part 2
The weather wasn’t so good for our last few days in San Sebastian, but that didn't stop us getting out and about.
On Sunday, it was the finals of a boat race of all the local villages. They had heats the week before, so it was only the top teams racing.
The boats are replicas of the whale boats they used to use for hunting. It was also the 100th anniversary, so was quite a big occasion.
There were thousands of people lining the bay, dressed up in the different colours of the teams.
We watched the race from the top of the hill at the old castle and then went back down to the old town to celebrate with the locals. There was music, matching bands and lots of yummy food.
We enjoyed being amongst the action! It was the perfect end to our stay.
